Yes, control voltages work with the expression pedal input.  Our pedals expect a voltage of 0-3.3V on the tip (sleeve grounded), but occasional voltages outside that range should not cause damage.

If your control voltage source does not have an output range control, you will need to use a CV attenuator to scale the voltage down to 0-3.3V.  Options include an attenuator or mixer module, the KOMA Attenuator Cable, or a passive voltage divider using resistors.

The expression input has current limiting in case you use a TS cable, but it is preferable to use a 1/4” TRS cable with the ring unconnected.  We (sometimes) sell a suitable cable at our web site, and the Expert Sleepers 'floating ring' cable is another option.  Instructions for building your own cable are available here.
